Relation to Richard D. James?
[edit]Casey has a resemblance to Richard D. James. With the same last name, it begs the question: anyone know if there's a relationship? — X S G 06:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you mean "raises", not "begs". But how close a relation do expect when one is from Cool, Texas and the other from Limerick, Ireland? It's not like James is a particularly uncommon name in the the English-speaking world. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 12:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Blues?
[edit]I was looking at Casey's page here, and it makes no mention of his blues background. i'm quite suprised since that was the style he was labeled as in the audition rounds. i thought i'd bring this up here before just adding it to the article. lemme know your thoughts. icelandic hurricane #12(talk) 01:29, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- I added a Musical Influences section that is a bit bare bones but at least addresses his blues background. Hopefully other users can build that section who are more familiar with the blues genre and have the correct citations for Mr. James' influences. --Mskittychat (talk) 00:59, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Image
[edit]Well, it's great to have an image in the article. I'm not entirely happy with the image as added, though, as it has somebody else's forehead in it. I replaced it with a color-adjusted crop to eliminate the forehead ([1]), but evidently the original uploader doesn't like it for some reason. Not sure his reasoning, since he reverted me without comment. I've asked him, but in the meantime thought I would note the issue here in case any others had opinion. Perhaps there's some other issue with the crop, but if so I would hope we could correct that, since the forehead doesn't really add much. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:31, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Evidently, he feels that the picture is better with the severed forehead than the close crop, which he thinks makes Casey look beheaded. (See [2]). Not sure if he plans to communicate about it here, given that he seems to have rather abruptly shut down communication. Nevertheless, I'll respect his opinion and seek additional feedback. With or without forehead? Or perhaps some happy, not yet produced medium? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:56, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I hate to get in the middle of this, because I enjoy working with both of you, and have a lot of positive work with both of you, but I like cropped with no forehead. CTJF83 chat 00:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Removed the forehead already. Gage (talk) 00:20, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- So you like "happy, not yet produced medium". Okay. I'll go for that. He does look better with more neck, and the girl's hair is dark enough that it nearly disappears. It's not as disconcerting for me as the former version. It's too bad that there's reasonable question about the copyright status of this image, where he has neck and no double chin. (No offense meant to Casey; it's part of looking down to a shorter photographer, I'm sure.) If we knew who Margherita was, we could ask her. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:38, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Gage, can you get rid of the red eye like Moon's crop? Looks like this is a happy compromise. And like Moon said, her hair blends in, semi-close to the color of his other collar. CTJF83 chat 00:44, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Done. Gage (talk) 02:30, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Also, I attempted to remove the double chin. Gage (talk) 02:47, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Looks good, buddy. CTJF83 chat 07:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

- Late to the party, but the current photo is fine for me. Given the two choices above, I prefer the one on the left, since I didn't notice the hair until MRG cropped it because of the forehead ("what forehead?"). The cropped version is too big, meaning it looks too close, and gives me a bit of a claustrophobic feeling.
- And hey! What's wrong with multiple chins? — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 10:49, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- The forehead isn't visible in the latest upload. :) You can see what the original first choice here. Good job on the double chin, Gage. And double chins are perfectly fine when earned, but look a bit out of place otherwise. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:30, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
The less cropped photo looks best. The other that is cropped closely makes his face look fat, which tells me that it would not be flattering to anyone if it can make him look heavy. Also the color is betterDallasDesign (talk) 03:24, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
Corrections/Additions
[edit]Casey has a Twitter Page that needs to be added to the external links, as well as a Fan Address for Mail. I know his family and these have both been verified. Twitter is his only actual page that he has. There are several Face Book pages claiming to be him that are not. The fan mail is being monitored by his Mom and brother.

- The fan mail address is a problem under our policies. As WP:NOTDIR says, "Contact information such as phone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses are not encyclopedic." P.O. Boxes fit into that, I'm afraid.
- As far as the Twitter address, that may be an appropriate external link to add once it is verified by a print source, but until then we may not be able to use it. I'm afraid that even if you do know his family (and I don't have any reason to doubt it), we need a usable source so that our readers can know that it doesn't suffer the same problem as those Face Book pages you mention. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:10, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
How do you get a useable source and how is that verified as far a Twitter is concerned or an official website?DallasDesign (talk) 19:22, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
Would the fact that his official website, or the Sony website, reference his Twitter name help? SPGeller (talk) 23:03, 1 February 2012 (UTC)SPGeller
